Jean Paul Gaultier MaDame

set design, illustration, fashion

For his perfume MaDAME, Jean Paul Gaultier, 'l'Enfant Terrible de la Mode Française', was inspired by the curious character of infamous super model Agyness Dean. The fragrance was aimed at strong women who aren't affraid to show their rebellious side. The launch of this refreshing perfume was assigned to the world renowned event agency Villa Eugénie.

Toykyo was contacted to add its distictive graphic touch to the event. The extensive moodboard was translated to a series of icons representing the personality of the product. Combining these elements with whimsical patterns and the existing typography, the venue was transformed to a 'place to be' nightclub which hosted the legendary party.
