For the runway presentation of the Adidas Y-3 Autumn/Winter 2014 collection by Yohji Yamamoto, Villa Eugénie commissioned Toykyo to design a graphic installation for the catwalk. Based on the concept and moodboard by Villa Eugénie we designed and installed bold abstract graphics vaguely referencing black and white superhero comic books. The goal was to create an epic setting filled with dynamic shadow play and powerful lightbeams that would both contrast and complement the collection and make every silhouette stand out.
"The collection is an hommage to the couturiers of he 60's. I wanted to infuse a this spirit into it. I was also thinking of super heroes and the kind of clothes they wear. Cut for an active and fighting life style, so I brought these two worlds together."
